Michael Dixon, CPA/PFS

Michael is presently a Financial Advisor at Your Planning Partners, LLC. Michael’s expertise is in providing the highest level of advisory services and planning solutions to meet the financial challenges of affluent individuals. He brings accounting and tax, financial advisory planning and extensive wealth management experience to a client engagement.

Michael works closely with clients, especially those who are in a transition period in their life due to the loss of a spouse through death or divorce. He assists them in creating a financial plan based on personal objectives, values and financial goals in order to protect, preserve, and grow their wealth. Taking a holistic approach to planning and wealth management, Michael seeks to coordinate high net-worth individuals’ needs over their lifetime and considering the needs of their families.

For many of his clients Michael serves as a personal CFO, managing all of their financial activities. As a single source financial advocate, he works collaboratively with a client’s other professionals to create a focused, vertically integrated strategy that drives all present and future financial related decision making. Michael strives to provide clients with comprehensive planning advice, continuously, as the economic environment and their personal circumstances change.

Michael began his professional career in Philadelphia assuming a Senior Tax Officer position in a personal trust department for a large commercial bank. As a licensed CPA, he continued his career with a public accounting firm and introduced an Estate Tax practice for the firm.

  • In 1982, Michael joined two entrepreneurs to assist them in the creation of two family offices. Concurrent with this new relationship, Michael formed Dixon & Associates, Inc. to provide tax and financial planning services to specific high net worth individuals.
  • Concurrent with managing the two family offices, Michael assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer for a national financial services sales office with six locations in the northeast part of the country with over 350 sales representatives.
  • In 2004, Michael partnered with Carl Domino, while maintaining the family offices and other individual relationships, to start-up Carl Domino, Inc., an investment advisory firm in West Palm Beach, Florida.
  • In 2016, Michael partnered with his daughter, Carol Dixon, to open a financial planning practice to focus on holistic planning services.

Michael is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and the Pennsylvania Institute of Public Accountants (PICPA). He was awarded the credential of Personal Financial Specialist in addition to Certified Public Accountant.

Very active in community organizations, Michael serves on the Board of Directors and is the Chairman of the Finance and Investment Committee for the Quantum Foundation; serves on the Audit Committee for the School District of Palm Beach County and served as past Vice Chair for the Steering Committee of the Estate and Financial Planning Division for the FICPA. He is an Associate Member of the Fraternal Order of Police; past Chairman of the Board and current Board member of the Finance Committee of the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County; served on the Board of Directors of The Center for Family Services; a member of the Professional Endowment Committee for the Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adults, and has presented numerous financial literacy and planning programs throughout Palm Beach County.

Michael is a member of several local business and community groups including the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council, the Rehabilitation Center for Adults and Children, the Palm Beach Round Table, the International Society of Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Rotary, and the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Always a patron of the Arts, Michael supported the Palm Beach Pops, Palm Beach Symphony, Palm Beach Opera Guild and the Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook. He is very active in local charities, including the American Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, L.I.F.E., Alzheimer’s Community Care, Tri-County Humane Society and Achilles International.
